Live Life a Millionaire

By:  Wendy Robbins

You may as well memorize this sentence now: If it’s to be, it’s up to me.

I’ll always ask you to be authentic. Most people are not genuine or sincere. What does that mean? It means that a lot of us are pretending, doing things that we don’t believe in, living a short life filled with stress and void of intimate connections. I’d hazard a guess and say the majority of human beings think life is meaningless and struggle daily to find its purpose.

I have worked with many of these people They feel stagnant, unfocused, and unbalanced. They are not doing what they like to do. Life has become a big-time serious bore.

Sound familiar? You’ve likely said, “I can’t do this anymore! I need something different in my life!” or how about this: “My life sucks! How did I end up here?”

My grandmother always said, “Oy vey, if I had a nickel for every time I’ve heard that….” That’s how I feel. Nearly every person I’ve worked with has thrown their own pity party. I have too.

I said to them what I’m going to say to you now. Wake up! Quit living your life with glazed eyes, going through the automated motions of your day, your week, your life. You were put here to do amazing things for yourself and for the world!

It’s time for you to stop making excuses. Start creating the life of your dreams!

You can do anything you want.

Dream of being a millionaire? It’s possible. Want to travel the world and explore exotic places? Why not? Yearn to live a rich life without sacrificing your soul? You can do that. But don’t start clearing out your cubicle yet because we have some work to do before you break out the cardboard boxes.

You can meet anyone you want, travel anywhere for little to no cost, appear on your favorite talk shows, live in a mansion, change the world. Interested? That’s what this awe-inspiring, goose-bumpy, tingly adventure is all about!

Are you waiting until you are “ready to retire” to retire?

Why? No, seriously…why? What excuses do you continue to believe? “I can’t do ____________ until I have enough ____________.” “My past is so bad. I have a lot of tragic stories and that’s why I can’t ____________.”

Why are you fighting for your limiting beliefs? Why defend being broke or unhappy? It’s time to consciously design your new “wow” of a life.

In the 2007 movie The Bucket List, Jack Nicholson’s and Morgan Freeman’s characters create a “to do” list of all the things they still want to do after each is given less than a year to live. The two men go on to fulfill every single item on their lists.

Could you do that? Sure you could! But first, you have to create the list.

What makes you so excited, so energized, so touched and motivated that you have to do it before you die? Sit down and make a long list — then go out and complete every item on it. Do at least two things on the list within 72 hours.

Excuses are neither accepted nor tolerated. Start writing five things now.

  1. ____________________________
  2. ____________________________
  3. ____________________________
  4. ____________________________
  5. ____________________________

What’s on your list? Travel? Fame? Fortune? Love? Change the world? Create a legacy? Forgive someone? Love yourself and really get that you are worthy, lovable and deserving of great things?

How many of these possibilities can you relate to?
