Words you say that you don’t mean can leave a lasting impression on another person. The wrong thing said at the wrong time can hurt other people deeply or sway a situation away from where you want it to go. Think carefully before you say something to someone intentionally to hurt them. Bad words spoken are not easily forgotten. The old quote “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all” is worth practicing. It serves no purpose to disparage others and can backfire on you, turning a situation into one you didn’t want. Try to be quiet and refrain from nasty comments at all.
