No One Abuses us More than We do Ourselves.

“When we feel we are not perfect we feel false, frustrated and dishonest to ourselves.  We feel unauthentic and wear social masks.  We dishonor ourselves just to please other people and be accepted. People do stupid things to be accepted even things that are dangerous like taking drugs.  The real problem of not being accepted is that we don’t accept ourselves.  We know we are not what we pretend to be.  Some become self abusive and even use other people to abuse them further. No one abuses us more than we do ourselves. How much you abuse yourself is how much you will allow others to abuse you.  You feel you deserve it because you are not good enough.”
